  • Seeking Skyler

Truth be told, Skyler is looking worried. A train can be heard coming and Skyler is afraid that it won’t stop for her. Or him.

Skyler is an entrepreneur. A creative. An adventurer - and on a journey.

Is this you by any chance?

If you think it is, stick your neck out to make sure the train, at least slows so we can take a peek…

  • Des Clark

Over the years, Des has had the privilege to live in, work in and travel to many different countries - some of them not on a typical travel itinerary...

When he was younger (& fitter!) he ran a mountaineering company guiding trips in the South American Andes, European Alps, Moroccan Atlas and beyond. Whilst his days spent on the mountains were, at that time, primarily in guiding clients, he had many opportunities for taking photographs. Indeed, whilst in Morocco, he wrote a guidebook to winter ascents of the highest peaks where he took many photos of the routes and surrounding scenery.

After 16 years guiding in the mountains, he transitioned to working for humanitarian NGOs in conflict settings such as Sudan, Iraq and Afghanistan. Even though he wasn’t there to take photos, he was able to capture some pivotal points along the historic journey of these countries, particularly Mosul in Iraq.

When he left working in the humanitarian world full-time, he felt mentally spent but found photography one of the most significant healers, and a way of reconnecting.

All the journeys you’ll find here are borne out of his own personal & professional backgrounds, passion and knowledge.

Although ageing quicker than he would like to admit, he still has dreams of one last mountain!

  • Maya Clark

Cooking is Maya’s creative passion and the way she creates change in the world. A plant-based chef with over 9 years experience from running a social business food-waste cafe, catering for large events and festivals to cooking for yoga retreats in Europe and Sth America.

She specialises in food sustainability and a food-as-medicine approach.

Maya loves to inspire and nourish people with healthy colourful dishes through flavours and recipes collected from her travels. You can see more of her creativity on her Instagram page.

With a deep understanding of different cultures gained from trekking and travelling in such varied places as North African deserts, South American jungles and high-altitude salt plains, Maya has first-hand experience of listening to that voice of desire that disturbs her when she is tempted to settle for something safe.

It’s no coincidence that both Maya and Des have the same surname - you’re looking at Daughter and Daddy here! Whilst cheerleaders of each other’s gifts and abilities, and with common passions for the outdoors and wilderness areas, Des has yet to try out barefoot trekking…

All that aside, if you can’t find Maya, she’s more than likely trying to get from one end to the other on her slackline!

  • Eavan

Particularly concerned he’s sharing the same page as Skyler, Eavan - who really dictates what’s happening and when - is especially happy in the mountains, forest and beach. Anywhere basically where he can run around free.

Eavan’s real passion however is in ensuring that all these areas are absolutely cat-free.

He regards himself as a leader given the number of followers he has on his Instagram page!
